New Achievements

Life has been so crazy these past two weeks that I haven't had a chance to update about all of Miss Mouse's new achievements. She began (on April 10, I believe?) to say "baa", "moo", "meow", "oof, oof (woof, woof)", "neigh (without the 'n' sound)", and "bzzz". She loves to baa like a sheep. She also now verbally says "more" when she makes her sign for it. It comes out sort of like "maaaarrr", but with the sign, it is obvious what she is saying. What is not always obvious is what she wants more of. She says "ball", "Bert" (for Hubert), and "bird", as well. Of course they sound more like "baaaaaa", "berrrr", and "birrrr", but when accompanied with pointing finger and in the context of the activity, it, again, is obvious that she is using those words as actual words.

Miss Mouse would also like to announce the addition of two new teeth in her mouth. The last of the four main ones on the bottom broke through on Saturday (apparently while we were on our seven hour drive home!), and the top left molar broke through on Sunday. Way to go, Baby Mouse! Now we're just waiting on the last molar (left bottom). She has been chowing down food like a little champ since those two broke through, though, so the bottom one must not be hurting too bad. Or perhaps it is just so much of a relief to just have one hurting instead of three! She devoured a piece of homemade cheese pizza on Sunday night, another piece on Monday for lunch, spaghetti sauce, ground beef, and couscous for Monday dinner, and today she ate nearly an entire cheese quesadilla for lunch with some applesauce. She's been inhaling her breakfasts of ground oatmeal and peach sauce, too. Perhaps at this next doctor's appointment she won't be in the 11th percentile for weight (it's okay if she is, but I prefer it to be on account of a naturally thin build and not thinness from lack of eating!)!
